Our latest single, “Modern Feelings,” is a call to just get in the car and get over it. It sounds like fireworks at dusk, as orchestral pop meets smooth funk. Filmed in Saint Augustine Beach, Florida, the song’s video chases poolside mojitos with a shot of psychedelia.

“Modern Feelings” is also available to stream on your preferred platform. The creation of the song started when Simon built a funk-style beat out of samples, overlaying an orchestra from an old French chanson record on top. This inspired Jane to come up with a vocal melody right away, before we crowdsourced an instrumental solo from Facebook for Simon’s birthday. Out of the stuff we received, we combined a dissonant guitar lick with a spaced-out harmonica jam and voilà, the song was complete! “Modern Feelings” is the second single we’re sharing from our first full-length album with Pantoum Records, due out on March 27. We sought to express our entire musical range and to create something that is both danceable and thought-provoking.
