The Phoenix Within Releases Lyric Video For “Daddy Issues”

*The Following Press Release Was Issued By A Little Bit Louder Music*

After a handful of singles in 2019, The Phoenix Within have returned with another new track on March 13th, titled “Daddy Issues.” The song’s lyrics touch on frontman Omar Feliciano’s personal experiences with this topic, especially in the chorus (“I fear I’ll never really know what it is to trust someone other than myself”). Musically, the track shows a handful of the various elements in The Phoenix Within’s sound, from the acoustic guitars opening the track to that punk influenced chorus with harder hitting instrumentals and raw vocals in the chorus and the guitar solo towards the end that is as catchy as the melodies before it.

About The Phoenix Within:

Formed in 2013, The Phoenix Within is a rock project based out of Queens, NY. The band is fronted by singer/songwriter Omar Feliciano and is backed by bassist Nick Narlis, guitarist John Narlis and drummer James Narlis. That same year, The Phoenix Within released their self titled debut LP, followed by their 2014 EP “The Great Deception,” and their “Natalie Rose” EP the following year (released on Cry Baby Records).

2017 brought their sophomore LP “Whispers” on Know Hope Records, and in 2019, they independently released three new singles, titled “Maybe Next Year,” “South Ozone,” and “Copycat.”

With a variety of musical influences under the rock umbrella – ranging from The Killers to Taking Back Sunday to Fall Out Boy and lyrical inspiration taken from different personal experiences, The Phoenix Within aims to create raw, honest, and poignant music, spreading messages that listeners can relate and connect to in one way or another.
