(Hollywood, CA) – Los Angeles-based artist/vocalist/producer ayokay shares the euphoric new track, “Right For You” — listen HERE“Right For You” serves as the lead single from ayokay’s Digital Dreamscape Deluxe Album, out now via Astralwerks; go HERE to stream/download now. Featuring all-new material from the musician/songwriter, the deluxe edition of Digital Dreamscape further explores the album’s increasingly resonant themes of escape, loneliness and longing for human connection. An exclusive vinyl edition of Digital Dreamscape is now available at Urban Outfitters.

Says ayokay, “Digital Dreamscape to me was about my falling back in love with electronic music. After releasing it and touring the music all year, I wasn’t ready to close the chapter. ‘Right For You’ was the first song I wrote immediately after it released and I got back from tour and it just felt like a song that still belonged on the album. I wanted to use the deluxe version as an opportunity to give it a home and to also give some of my favorite new producers an opportunity to put their own spin on some of the songs.”

Arriving on the heels of “I Still Need You” (Disco Lines Remix)“Right For You” showcases the powerful alchemy of elements that’s helped ayokay to amass over 400 million global catalogue streams on Spotify: irresistible melodies, unfettered emotion and the endlessly inventive sound design he’s also brought to his work in producing for artists like Carly Rae JepsenJeremy ZuckerChelsea Cutler and Quinn XCII. With its elegant collage of dazzling sonic details — shimmering textures, sinister beats, sudden bursts of static — “Right For You” also finds ayokay perfectly channeling the dizzying bliss of infatuation, thanks to the warm and soulful vocal presence he’s recently shown in touring with Emmit FennElderbrook and Chelsea Cutler

ayokay’s debut album for Astralwerks, Digital Dreamscape is a highly immersive body of work accompanied by a series of surreal and cinematic videos merging cult sci-fi and psychodrama. Through his collaboration with director Jonah Georgeayokay created an elaborate narrative that follows protagonist Alex as he becomes entangled with a mysterious character named Chelle — an outsider who’s created a computer system that allows her to enter another reality. Beginning with the video for Digital Dreamscape’s lead single “Better With You,” that spellbinding storyline continues throughout the visuals for “I Still Need You,” “Waiting For” (with slenderbodies), “If That’s What You Need,” and “Amnesia” (with Nightly).

Partly conceived as a “love letter to electronic music,” Digital Dreamscape also features guest appearances from such eclectic acts Stay Over and Quinn XCII (a childhood friend and longtime creative partner who joined forces with ayokay on his gold-certified breakthrough single “Kings Of Summer”). “I’ve always been drawn to escapist stories and concepts in my music, because I think electronic music has the power to take the listener to somewhere they’ve never been before,” ayokay points out. “For me, these concepts have always centered around the mind and exploring the infinite possibilities it can generate when entering some sort of dream state.”
