Hot on the heels of their LP Impenitent, Aeons Abyss have teamed up with some awesome musicians for a stand alone single while we wait for a new album. “The Great Hanging” by Aeons Abyss features the vocal talents of Eternal Rest from Brisbane, Australia who have toured with bands like Entombed and Rings Of Saturn. Rogers Rocha of Savagez, a tech death band from São Luís, Maranhão, Brazil contributes his guitar skills for a sweet solo. Savagez have played with greats like Krisiun. The result is an engaging experience. The single will be name your own price on Bandcamp along with the rest of Aeons Abyss’ discography.

Steven on the single:
“We think it’s a pretty cool, viby track, written in the style of early thrash / black metal. The lyrics focus on the rich 1% of society who wield way too much power, and make decisions for their own benefit rather than for the common good.”

“This song is an international collab. Lyrics were inspired by the Brisbane underground metal website Noob Heavy, with the words “Noob Heavy” hidden in the artwork. The chorus was inspired by our no.1 fan from Russia, from the proverb, “Little thieves are hanged, the great ones escape”.  Lyric video will also be released.”

Roger Rocha says about the single, “The Great Hanging is such a powerful song. It instantly got me hyped and in the mood to jam along. I love this old school vibe, it brings me back to my roots”.

Shanon from Eternal Rest: “I was super stoked that Aeons Abyss asked me to be a part of this track. Really cool guys and a pleasure to work with during the process. The track is just pure head banging riffage, which is something I am personally a big fan of and made it super easy for me to jump onboard and really get into it. I was also super stoked for the experience to share a guest spot on the track with Rogers Rocha of SavageZ from Brazil with his killer guitar solo too.”
