Darryl Kissick Releases Video For “Alien”

*The Following Press Release Was Issued By Darryl Kissick*

I’m happy to share my third full-length album with you, Goodbye Patterns. I produced the LP with Avery Kissick and it was mixed by Jonathan Anderson and mastered by Philip Shaw Bova.

I wanted to step out of my usual mode of writing lyrics, which generally involves drawing from my own experiences, so I decided to write about supernatural and paranormal topics. As a result, the songs deal with werewolves, aliens, time loops, alternate dimensions and spirits, among other things. Through using these as a jumping-off point, I found that I was able to explore topics like mortality, ego vs id, human agency (or the lack thereof) and the general disillusionment with day-to-day life.
The press photo is by Chris Graham.
The album cover is a painting my father made in 1975.

Thank you for listening,
Darryl Kissick
