Covert Stations studio series covers Modern English’s “I Melt with You”
Covert Stations waxes nostalgic again, leaning back into 1982 with a cover of Modern English’s pulsating hit “I Melt With You.”

An irresistible, early alternative rock staple that still holds strong 40 years later. On this track, Covert Stations features Craig Cirinelli on vocals (Damn) This Desert Air/The Atlantic Union Project); Chris Alfano on guitars & synths (The Postman Syndrome/East of the Wall) and Brian Leahy on drums with Guy Neighmond on bass guitar (both from the band Eyeswan). This metallic-indie hybrid studio band slides in an earnestly strong take on the decades-old new wave song, adding the muscle from their pedigree enhanced by a modern-day production’s depth of sound. If you’re into both classic and alternative rock, this is a must. The fact you can probably sing along just by reading the song title before even clicking ‘PLAY’ is the icing on the cake.

Covert Stations studio sessions series launched in February 2022 with a rendition of The Psychedelic Furs “Love My Way,” then followed up with their take on The Cult’s “She Sells Sanctuary” this past June. With different line-ups of band members in each song, a background of the project itself can be found on the Covert Stations website. With new singles arriving every few months, follow the links provided to keep an eye on what’s next.
