| MANCHESTER INDIE-POP BAND VALA TEAM UP WITH LEGENDARY PRODUCER GORDON RAPHAEL (THE STROKES) ON NEW SINGLE ‘THIS TOWN’ OUT NOW |
 On March 11th, Manchester indie-pop band and Manchester live staple VALA released their second single of the year ‘This Town.’ Following up on previous single ‘You Don’t Want My Love,’ which saw coverage across Amazing Radio U.K. and U.S, XS Manchester and its first play Radio X by John Kennedy, the track epitomizes the bands lo-fi indie sound. With a genre-crossing sound, VALA, are a fusion of indie rock and pop, incorporating melodic hooks and smooth guitar riffs, which have seen them likened to indie giants like Arctic Monkeys and The Strokes. It’s no wonder The Strokes’ producer, Gordon Raphael, took a liking to the band and has helped to guide them through the recording process on the band’s upcoming EP. |
