Queens, New York-Based Rock Band THE PHOENIX WITHIN Release Long-Awaited New Album, “Overdue”
Over the past couple of years, Queens, New York-based rock band The Phoenix Within has released a flurry of music singles. To wrap up an eventful 2021 year, which included the band landing a song on the iTunes rock charts to performing at this year’s INKcarceration Music and Tattoo Festival in Ohio and Blue Ridges Rock Festival in Virginia, the band released their long-awaited full-length album titled, “OVERDUE.”

“I originally wanted to call the album OVERDO. Simply because there are so many times as an artist, musician, daughter, son, wife, husband, or a human being that we tend to overwork or overexert ourselves. I eventually changed the name to OVERDUE because it took the band three years to complete the album,” says frontman Omar Feliciano about the record, “The songs in this full-length go through a wide range of emotions and topics that touch on anxiety, suicide awareness, my origins, love, hatred and the introspection of the artist and musician, to name a few.”

The lyrics tackle a wide range of topics, including autobiographical stories about the band members, love and relationships, mental health and suicide awareness, and more, while the music showcases the various styles of rock incorporated into the band’s sound and displays their evolution as a band over the past few years.
