Netflix has shared their second delightful soundtrack of songs from the beloved animated children’s series, Ridley Jones. The release features all-new music from the series’ second season, which launched November 2. Episodes are now available for viewing on Netflix and the Netflix Jr. YouTube channel. Listen to the music from the show HERE.

The Ridley Jones soundtrack gives families a chance to experience more of the charming and insightful songs that are a fundamental part of the show’s imaginative quests. Created and executive-produced by Chris Nee (Doc McStuffinsVampirina), Ridley Jones tells the story of Ridley, a 6-year-old who lives with her mom and grandma at the Museum of Natural History. Every night when the lights go out, the exhibits come to life and Ridley’s in charge as the museum fills with stampeding elephants, giant squid, Egyptian mummies and more. The new season brings new quests for Ridley and her crew, whether that means saving baby sloths, braving the frozen tundra, or discovering what else the museum has in store for them.

The warm and witty songs by the Emmy-nominated team of Michael Kooman and Chris Dimond, popularly known as Kooman & Dimond, help Ridley and her friends express their feelings of hope, joy, and uncertainty. Their lyrics convey the characters’ emotions and experiences in ways that connect directly with preschoolers and parents alike. Packed with memorable melodies, the songs of Ridley Jones teach young viewers about the value of working as a team (“Stand as One”), appreciating family connections (“My Little Bro”), creating communities (“Feel at Home”), dealing with doubt (“I’m Not Ready”) and many more invaluable lessons.

Leading the voice cast of Ridley Jones is Iara Nemirovsky, a versatile young performer who made her professional stage debut at the age of 11 in the national touring production of School of Rock: The Musical. She is joined by such veteran talents as Laraine Newman as Peaches, Blythe Danner as Grandma Jones and Jane Lynch as Lonny. Ridley Jones’s voice cast also includes David Errigo Jr. as Dudley, Tyler Shamy as Dante, Iris Menas as Fred, Ashlyn Madden as Ismat, Sutton Foster as Mama Jones and Bob Bergen as Mr. Peabody.

Made for an audience of viewers aged 2 to 8 and their parents, Ridley Jones is created and executive-produced by Nee, the children’s television innovator who has been honored with, along with her four Emmy Award wins and many nominations, a Peabody Award, the Humanitas Prize and the NAACP Image Award. Nee also teamed with Barack and Michelle Obama Higher Ground for the acclaimed animated series We the People and Ada Twist, Scientist, the first season of which premiered on Netflix and the Netflix Jr. YouTube channel in September.

Kooman & Dimond are best known for their work with Nee on Vampirina and for their stage musicals The Noteworthy Life of Howard BarnesOrphie and the Book of HeroesJudge Jackie: Disorder in the CourtDani Girl and Romantics Anonymous. Full of more of their bright and energetic brand of songwriting for young audiences, the second volume of music from the Netflix series Ridley Jones can now be enjoyed on all major streaming platforms.
