After a decade of putting out albums and touring, Nebraskan singer-songwriter Orion Walsh is set to release “So Many Places to See” with folk/roots label Sower Records. Brimming with vivid storytelling, this is truly a mature step forward for this well-traveled troubadour. Walsh has previously released seven albums with independent labels Sower Records & Indie Vision Music, including “The Hitchhiker’s Son” produced by AJ Mogis (Bright Eyes, Monsters of Folk). He also released two full-length albums with his previous band Slow Coming Day (Tooth & Nail Records) which had major label distribution.

Walsh has been touring for over a decade and has performed over 1,000 concerts all over the United States as well as multiple tours to Europe both as a solo artist and with his band. Orion has performed his music in 15 different countries and opened up for artists in the past such as Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, David Dondero, Mae, David Bazan, The Mynabirds, Wild Child, Samantha Crain, Wayne Hancock, etc.. Several of his songs have been used on television and independent films in the past, including “Skins” (UK), “Pawn Stars,” “NY Ink” (TLC), “What Not to Wear” & “America’s Next Top Model” of international fame. Expect to see more from this free-spirited traveler and songwriter in the years to come.

Catch Orion Walsh on tour in the US and Europe in the months ahead. See dates below.

Praise for Orion Walsh:

“Walsh crafted his best album yet, injecting a pop sensibility into his sharply crafted, folk-rooted songs” – Lincoln Journal Star

“There’s a restlessness to his music and a power in his voice, a constant need to keep moving and changing the scenery, which leads to Walsh’s status as a musical Zelig, keeping his audiences guessing.” –The Inlander

“A truly independent musician who doesn’t have to rely on the handouts of a donor to produce the music he wants to create. If you’re looking for a clean break from all the crappy generic music out there, please take a minute out of your day and give Orion Walsh a listen, you won’t regret it.” – Indie Vision Music

“There must be something in the water in Nebraska that it keeps producing powerful folk singers. I think it is time that a new artist’s name becomes synonymous with the state…Orion Walsh” –Popwreckoning

“When the deep, heartfelt, expressive lyrics are combined with the perfectly suited instrumentation, the end result is a masterwork of new American folk music. The depth and expression that exude from all of “Tornado Lullabies” have quickly made the album one of my favorite recordings” -The Daily Nebraskan
