| My self-titled album came out on Friday October 9th, 2020, co-produced with Ian Blurton (Change of Heart, C’mon, Future Now). Jeen features Ian on the lead guitar, Brendan Canning (Broken Social Scene, Cookie Duster) & Ben O’Brien on bass, Stephan Szczesniak on drums, Jeff Heisholt on synths and Kevin Fox on cello. Watch the camera roll lyric vid for “Idols,” on YouTube now. I’m used to making records pretty much by myself, recording more lo-fi releases in my attic. But when I got Ian on board to mix 2018’s Gift Shop, things just clicked and I asked if he’d help me produce this 12-song LP. I was so happy to have full production after doing it on my own for so long. I’m not much in the way of more traditional singer-songwriter approaches, I always end up drifting… it’s art after all and this is just how I like to make it.
