Stone Sea are a groovy alternative rock band that blend elements of stoner and world music into their sound.
Formed in Brazil in 2014 by vocalist and guitarist Elvis Suhadolnik Bonesso, the band recorded their debut album ‘Origins.’ Shortly after, Elvis moved to Ireland, where Stone Sea became a three-piece and recorded their EPs ‘Vaporizer’ and ‘Mankind Maze.’
The band’s name is comprised of two words that oppose each other completely. ‘Stone’ symbolizes inner strength and steadfast elements in our lives and ‘Sea’ represents life’s ever-changing and dynamic nature. Their music reflects these ideas. Highlighting the contrast between strength and submission, stability and fluctuation; Stone and Sea.
They recently released the official music video for “Dream Song,” taken from the 2019 EP ‘Mankind Maze.’
“’Dream Song’ came out after forcing myself for a few months to describe what happens with my unconsciousness when I sleep. The images I had from past dreams and from thoughts that would come to me when I’m about to sleep were partially described in the lyrics, but more importantly, the feelings I felt were described in the nuances and melodies of the song. I think it’s a special song. It talks about so much in such little time, I feel dreams are exactly like that too,” said Bonesso, songwriter, singer and guitarist.
