LAS VEGAS, NV. – On April 21st, 2020, Ty Knight dropped his first project of the year, ‘The Flamingo Tape’ in Las Vegas, NV. (https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/tyknight/the-flamingo-tape)
Since the beginning of the year, upcoming hip-hop artist and producer, Ty Knight has been dropping singles. In April, some of those singles were compiled into a tape. The five-track tape was self-produced and written by Knight.
Born in Chicago, raised everywhere from Memphis, TN to Reno, NV, now, we find Ty Knight has set up shop in west Las Vegas and linked with videographer/photographer of the Creative Genius team to create what he’s calling his first official video. “As an artist it’s kind of a rite of passage to have to use whatever you got to tell the story and paint the picture, so most my visuals have always been just that, but working with Cece, I now have a visual that matches what I saw through the whole creative process. And this is just the beginning of a new level.”
The 2-minute video was shot and directed by Cece Gilbert (Creative Genius). The song and video are an introduction to Knight, his philosophies and lifestyle. 30 seconds in Knight raps “Can’t trust no app, cant trust no cop; love what you got, chase no thot.” As scenes of recent protest for George Floyd and Breonna Taylor flash across the screen. Fresh off the release of single ‘See No Evil’ earlier this year, Knight continues to try to give us the truth, wholeheartedly and unapologetically.
The “Flock” visual was released on Friday July 24. The video is available on YouTube via Knights channel (Ty Knight TV). ‘The Flamingo Tape’ is streaming on all platforms. Links below:
