The song “Victoria” was initially inspired by our love for UK rockers and how they sing about love and relationships. It was about no one in particular until we played the song acoustically for a friend of ours who had recently broken up with his long term girlfriend named Victoria.
Yes, there may have been some booze involved, but the song resonated with him and he told us about their relationship. It lined up well with our motivations for the song and we soon modified the song’s story to match.
