GTFO Combat Rave was inspired by a few years of ups and downs, and lots of new musical experiences. It’s about going through the daily shit – constantly being bogged down by the past, acknowledging that, taking a step forward and rising about it all with a sneer to break through the bullshit. Friendships came and went, relationships began and ended, lives changed, remained and flat lined… their whole lives inspired the album. High school friendships, trials and tribulations of young adulthood, growing up, not growing up… Everything came to a head during the recording and Shade created something beautiful out of it. You can’t have the dark and dreadful without the light and beauty. |
