Boston ska-punk vets The Mighty Mighty Bosstones will say goodbye to 2019 by once again throwing the biggest party of the holiday season. Hometown Throwdown 22 “It’s A Plaid Plaid World” will take place at House of Blues Boston on December 27, 28 and 29. All shows are all ages and opening bands will be announced soon.
Hometown Throwdown has become a Bosstones holiday tradition for 22 years running. “This year, on the 30th anniversary of our very first album, myself and the other Plaid Boys of Boston are returning to our tartan root. Expect all the warmth and wonder this holiday tradition has always delivered. Please join us we will not disappoint” – says Dicky Barrett
With over a 30-year career, Boston’s best-dressed band continues to build a devoted following with their unique brass-infused brand of rock n’ punk. In 2017 to honor the plaid-clad rockers’ Boston Mayor Martin Walsh declared that December 28 is officially Mighty Mighty Bosstones Day in the city.
The unstoppable and tried and true Mighty Mighty Bosstones are Dicky Barrett, Joe Gittleman, Chris Rhodes, Tim Burton, Joe Sirois, Leon Silva, Ben Carr, Lawrence Katz, John Goetchius.
The band’s latest album While We’re At It (2018, Big Rig Records), produced by Tim Hutt and is available at all digital outlets and on CD and vinyl at www.bosstonesmusic.com.
