Erie PA emo/indie rock trio The Standby will release the ‘Over, Under’ EP on September 6th.

Following on the heels of two highly buzzed-about singles “Wintersun” and “Constant Nausea” (both of which debuted on Dreambound and Alternative Press), the EP will be released in advance of their just-announced “Over, Under” Fall Tour, which kicks off September 12 in Toledo, OH. See dates below. Additional cities will be announced soon.

The full EP, like the two previous singles, was produced by Gary Cioni (Grayscale, Free Throw, Kayak Jones) at the Barber Shop Studios.

The Standby will also play a hometown EP release show at The Ballet Haus on August 31 with support from The Joke’s On Us, The Finer Things Club, DIVE and Mr. Pink. For tickets/additional details visit: http://bit.ly/2ydivZu.

The band’s third and final single off the EP (“Drawing Out The Hurt”) will be premiering on August 13th, with the track dropping to all streaming services on August 16th.

The Standby has also launched two special merch pre-order bundles, which are available until August 12.

Comprised of Jordan Sigmund (Vocals, Guitar), Jake Brown (Drums), and Lyle Sallade (Bass, Backing Vocals), The Standby has quickly become a dynamic presence throughout Pennsylvania and beyond. The three-piece delivers a huge soundscape that is both highly energetic and tragically somber, creating a pallet that any alternative music fan can easily take from and enjoy. The band fuses elements of some of the scene’s most cherished classics (Thrice, Thursday) with more modern stylings reminiscent of some of today’s newer powerhouses (Casey, Movements, Can’t Swim) to form a perfect storm of genre-bending.

Their distinctive sound has helped the emo-indie trio become a fast-rising favorite (they recently played to over 100 attendees their first time at The Vanguard in Tulsa, Oklahoma) and has led to praise from the media who have likened them to a “Modern-day Nirvana” (The Underground Revival) and deemed them “indie hometown heroes” (Erie Reader).
