Singer-Songwriter Michael Kaiser’s New Single “30 Rings”

*The Following Press Release Was Issued By Earshot Media*

“30 Rings, was written in the wake of the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, FL – miles away from my hometown. I didn’t exactly know how to confront the feelings of it all, and the feeling that life seemed to go on as usual, here in Los Angeles. The song is a reflection, a somber feeling after those events; also a wanting to own my own mistakes and grow from them, and ultimately a realization that while life goes on, we never really forget the moments (or tragedies) that shape who we are.”- Michael Kaiser

Lyrics:

There’s no penny on the sidewalk
I ain’t searching for my good luck
No scraps in my trash
Or plate on my table I ain’t licked up
.
.
So come, cut me down
Count 30 rings to my name
For every one I am to blame
Come cut me down
Count 30 rings to my name
On each one I stand again
.
.
Bought a power-ball ticket with some spare change
Puts the good chemicals in my brain
Cashier how ‘bout a prayer to your god
Think mines been sleeping on the job
.
.
Come cut me down
Count 30 rings to my name
For every one I am to blame
You come cut me down
Count 30 rings to my name
On each one I stand again
.
.
Though i’m scared to admit it
My eyes have dried
But on my life i won’t forget it
The song the ambulance cried
.
.
Come cut me down
Count 30 rings to my name
Yeah you come come me down
Count 30 rings
