| Alternative Hip Hop Duo Satellites in Orbit bring something original and fun to the table on new single “That’s True.” From their self-produced signature sound to the quarantine-filmed music video, this dynamic duo is keeping the creative spark alive despite different locales and a looming pandemic.
Taking cues from MF Doom, the Beastie Boys and Run the Jewels, Satellites in Orbit are an underground group to keep both eyes on. Stream “That’s True”: Artist Name: Satellites In Orbit Websites Artist Biography: Patrick Laundrie (DATACRON) and Adam Rushfield (DRGS) live 2972 miles apart from each other, and haven’t occupied the same physical space in at least that many days. Their mental space however is a completely different story. What started in Las Vegas, NV with rival punk rock bands playing dusty desert shows together has blossomed into a lifelong friendship and some seriously weird wired connections from brain to brain. DATACRON lives in Newport, Oregon surrounded by wilderness, with a very off the grid approach to life. DRGS lives in the heart of NYC, and only has to go out of his front door for access to any and everything. Their duality and distance could easily be a hindrance for creativity, but when their two brains connect as one, space and time melt into a strange witches brew of punk rock hip hop experimentalism.
